Once you have the new SATA drive, you need back up the data on your current PS3 hard drive to an external storage unit. What happened to the earlier versions of the XBox360? Remember the infamous Red Ring of Death? I am not a PS3 fan boy and certainly not here to bash XBox360, at least not in this article and I don’t see a point in bashing it anyway as I heard from people the newer versions are much more stable than the older ones.

Out of the two the PS3 is regarded as the most technologically advanced, but what can we look forward to with its successor? The PlayStation 3 console is huge; though it’s surprisingly quiet that’s why all of them are eagerly waiting for the PS4 release date. In terms of storage capacity, you may as well go big: 120GB, 160GB, or even 250GB. The optical media drive, control and connectivity features will be covered in a subsequent article.
